2. The HPV DNA test
This test involves testing cells collected from the cervix to the infection with HPV types which are most likely to cause cervical cancer. This test can be performed simultaneously with a pap smear test.
The doctor may refer you to the gynecologist, namely health experts the female reproductive system, if the results of the tests showed abnormalities, or if a doctor saw a growth in the cervix or if you have abnormal bleeding.

How to prevent cervical cancer?
Vaccination is the most effective primary prevention. Women aged 9 to 55 years are recommended to receive the HPV vaccination. This vaccine will only be effective if you have contracted HPV, it's why the vaccine is recommended to be done before you're sexually active. But it is not only women, but men can also carry HPV so that men should also consider receiving the vaccine.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends both men and women should get the HPV vaccine at the age of 9 years with a dose of vaccine twice (in pause 6-12 months between the granting of vaccines).
