Overdose

Infusion, less than 50 kg: 15 mg/kg every 6 hours or 12.5 mg/kg every 4 hours.
The maximum single dose: 750 mg/dose. Total maximum daily dose: 75 mg/kg/day
(less than or equal to 3750 mg/day).
•
Infusion, 50 kg or more: 650 mg every 4 hours or 1000 mg every 6 hours. The
maximum single dose: 1000 mg/dose. Total maximum daily dose: 4000 mg/day.
•
Oral or rectal: 325-650 mg each 4-6 hours or 1000 mg 3-4 times a day. The
maximum daily dose: 4000 mg/day.
